Meet Sheran
Hello, my name is Sheran. Before I started with StepUp Wilmington, I was struggling to make ends meet and felt anxious and exhausted. It was frustrating, especially since I faced limitations in finding better opportunities due to not having my high school diploma at the time.
Starting classes at StepUp Wilmington marked a turning point—a step toward reclaiming my life and feeling whole again. I began setting and achieving personal goals, one by one. I successfully completed the program, earned my certificate, and achieved my high school diploma.
StepUp Wilmington played a major role in these accomplishments. I discovered my self-worth and value as a person. The supportive staff gave me the tools I needed to succeed and encouraged me to keep growing. Now, I’m focusing on continuing my education and building a brighter future. My next goals include furthering my studies, becoming a homeowner, and one day starting a family with a caring partner.
I share my story in the hope that it inspires someone out there.
